University of Louisiana at Monroe alumnus Robert “Rob” Redding Jr. has secured another distinguished honor in 2009 – he won an Internet award from the Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association this month.

Redding, a recent communication studies graduate from Fayetteville, Ga., and a member of ULM’s award-winning Speech and Debate Team, won “First Place for Best Web Site” for his work with KEDM-FM in Monroe. His more than two-year term at the station included heading the site’s news and updates.

And this has been quite a stellar year for Redding, who is CEO of Redding Communications Inc, known for programming like the “Redding News Review.” This nationally-syndicated program earned a prestigious Gold ADDY Award March 12 from the American Federation of Advertisers Northeast Louisiana chapter.

In April, it was announced that Redding’s theory on competitive argumentation, “Resolution of Risk,” was published in a peer-reviewed communication publication, “The Journal of the International Public Debate Association.”

On the ULM side, Redding also recently appeared in the 2009 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, recognized for being a national outstanding campus leader.
