ULM Concert Choir embarks on fall tour
Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, members of the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Concert Choir will perform eight concerts during their fall recruitment tour.

The three day event, ending Wednesday, Oct. 3, will include 54 ULM voice students, and voice and piano faculty from ULM.
The trip is led by Dr. Deborah Chandler, director of Choral Activities at ULM. Chandler will be joined by ULM faculty Julian Jones, instructor of voice, Dr. Claire Vangelisti, associate professor of music, Dr. Richard Seiler, professor of music, and Dr. Mark R. Clark, head of opera.
Students and faculty will visit Shreveport, Bossier City, Alexandria, Gladewater, Texas, Longview, Texas, Kilgore, Texas, and Carthage, Texas.
The trip itinerary is as follows:
Monday, Oct. 1: Shreveport/Bossier
Byrd High School, 8:30 a.m.;
Caddo Parish Magnet School, 10:10 a.m.;
Airline High School, 11:45 a.m
Tuesday, Oct. 2: Texas
Gladewater High School, Gladewater, Texas, 8:30 a.m.;
Kilgore High School, Kilgore, Texas, 10:45 a.m.;
Ponola Community College, Carthage, Texas, 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 3: Alexandria
Tioga High School, 8:15 a.m.;
Alexandria High School, 12:30 p.m.
The choir will return to ULM, Wednesday evening, Oct. 3.
As this is a recruiting event, all concerts are closed to the general public.
