Author of book about Monroe Monarchs baseball team to visit ULM Feb. 13
February 2, 2012 - Another Monroe treasure will be given further tribute Monday, Feb. 13, when noted author Dr. Thomas Aiello, who wrote “The Kings of Casino Park: Black Baseball in the Lost Season of 1932” about the Monroe Monarchs baseball team, visits the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus.

Foundation funds ULM pharmacy professor's cancer research
February 10, 2012 - The Mizutani Foundation for Glycoscience, a grant-funding agency in Japan, supports the breast cancer research concept of Yong-Yu Liu, M.D., Ph.D., a pharmacy professor at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. His research will receive a boost of approximately $50,000.
