Appeals
Upon receiving a parking violation and you feel that the citation was
issued in error, within five days
you may appeal the citation at the ULM Police Department. Appeals are
handled on Thursdays between the hours of 2PM and 4PM by the Director
of the ULM Police Department or his designee.
Citation appeal forms are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at
the front desk of the ULM Police Department. You may also submit an appeal
form online by following the link below.

General Provisions
A. Neither inclement weather
nor special events will alter the provisions of
these regulations.
B. THE PERSON IN WHOSE
NAME THE VEHICLE IS REGISTERED IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VEHICLE AND
TRAFFIC TICKETS ISSUED TO IT ON CAMPUS.
C. Failure to register a
motor vehicle, falsifying traffic tickets, removing traffic tickets
from parked vehicles, or abuse of driving may subject the violator
to disciplinary action. Flagrant violation may cause the permanent
loss of driving privileges on campus.
D. Parking of trailers,
boats, or boat trailers on campus is prohibited.
E. Students with indebtedness
to the University because of traffic violations will not be permitted to
re-enroll or procure a transcript until such indebtedness is paid.
F. Disabled vehicles must
be reported immediately to University Police.
G. Automobiles will not
be repaired on campus (other than minor adjustments).
H. Students with severe and/or permanent handicaps
should contact ULM Police prior to applying for a parking permit.
I. Pedestrians have the
right of way over motor vehicles when crossing the street in areas marked
as pedestrian crossing and not controlled by a traffic light. At intersections
controlled by a traffic signal, pedestrians have the right of way when
crossing the street with the red signal.
J. All persons riding in
vehicles will ride seated in the vehicle.
K. All appeals must be filed
with the Director of University Police within
five days from
the date of the citation or there shall be no right of appeal.
