Sculpture

Sculpture involves the creation and manipulation of three-dimensional form. Students are introduced to the basic sculptural processes: modeling, carving, casting and assembling. At the same time, they explore the unique properties of various materials such as wood, plaster, clay and metal.

Emphasis is placed on the development of skills and techniques, as well as individual creative expression. Group critiques foster discussion and subsequently the evolution of confidence, self-awareness and professionalism. The sculptural facilities contain the necessary tools and equipment to facilitate woodworking, stone and wood-carving and metal fabrication.
