ULM closes Thursday, Dec. 18, for holiday break; campus reopens Jan. 5; classes begin Jan. 12

Happy Holidays ULM

MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe campus closes at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, for the holiday break. The university reopens Monday, Jan. 5, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. 

Classes for the Spring 2026 semester begin Monday, January 12. 

Dining 

Dining and food services, including Starbucks, are closed for the holiday break.  

Food services will reopen for move-in weekend, January 9-11, 2026. Schulze Dining reopens at 2:00 p.m. on January 11.

Bookstore 

The ULM Bookstore in Sandel Hall holiday hours are: 

12/19 - 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

12/22 - 1/1 - closed 

1/5 - Normal hours resume: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.  

Library 

The ULM Library reopens on Monday, Jan. 5. 

Residential Life 

Residence halls reopen Friday, Jan. 9, and Saturday, Jan 10, for Spring 2026 Move-In. The check-in time for both days is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the check-in will be at the Activity Center. Please make sure your fee bill is paid or a payment plan is set up, and you are registered for classes prior to move-in. The Fall 2026 housing application goes live at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at https://www.ulm.edu/reslife/fall-application.html. 

ULM Activity Center 

Winter Break Hours: December 14 – January 11 

Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

Closed December 22 – January 2 

Regular hours resume January 12, 2026 

The ULM Food Pantry, located inside the Activity Center, will be open when the Activity Center is open.  

Faith Organizations 

Campus faith organizations are closed for the holiday break.
