Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship

ULM offers the Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship to first-time, full-time freshmen and transfer students who qualify. This fee waiver is valued at $6,050 per semester, or $12,100 per year.

Qualifications for Domestic Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship

Requirements for First-Time, First-Year Students (Freshmen):

• Non-Louisiana resident, and
  
  
• First-time, full-time domestic freshman, and
  
  
• Satisfy the admission requirements of the institution, and
  
  
• Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5, and
  
  
• Minimum ACT Composite of 21 or SAT Total of 1060, and
  
  
• Minimum ACT English of 15 or SAT English of 440, and
  
  
• Minimum ACT Math of 16 or SAT Math of 430

Requirements for Domestic Transfer Students:

• Non-Louisiana resident, and
  
  
• Satisfy the admission requirements of the institution, and
  
  
• Completed at least 12 college-level hours, and
  
  
• Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5, and
  
  
• Be eligible to return to their previous institution

Qualifications for International Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship

Requirements for First-Time, First-Year International Students (Freshmen):

• Satisfy the admission requirements of the institution, and
  
  
• Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5, and
  
  
• Minimum ACT English of 15 or SAT English of 440, and
  
  
• Minimum ACT Math of 16 or SAT Math of 430, and
  
  
• All language scores must be verified as valid and taken within a two year time frame in order to be used for admission. Please ensure you have shared your scores with our school through your respective testing portal. Minimum language score:
  • TOEFL 71, or
  • IELTS 6.0, or
  • Duolingo 95

Requirements for International Transfer Students:

• Non-Louisiana resident, and
  
  
• Satisfy the admission requirements of the institution, and
  
  
• Complete at least 12 college-level hours from a U.S. institution, and
  
  
• Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5, and
  
  
• Be eligible to return to their previous institution

Other Important Information:

• Students who do not meet the admission criteria, will not be considered for the Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship. For more information on admission requirements, visit our admissions webpage.
  
  
• Students may also qualify for academic and foundation scholarships in addition to the Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship.
  
  
• Accepting your scholarship is not an official commitment to ULM. This offer is only valid if the student enrolls at ULM beginning their first entry semester. If the student chooses not to accept the scholarship, then the award will be forfeited for all future semesters. In this case, please contact 318-342-5321 or scholarships@ulm.edu to inform ULM of your decision not to attend.
  
  
• If the total amount of financial aid plus scholarships exceeds the federally mandated cost of attendance, a student's aid will be reduced (adjusted) by the amount exceeding the cost of attendance, in the following order: federal loan aid, institutional, and other aid according to institutional practice.
