Arturo Rodriguez, DM, has been named the next Dean of the ULM College of Business and Social Sciences (CBSS). Rodriguez most recently served as the Director of the William D. Hoover School of Accounting, Financial, and Information Services since July 2019. His appointment as Dean was confirmed by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors on June 26, 2025.
Seniors in the ULM Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program recently participated in the Harry Saunders Award Competition. A total of 31 students, comprising nine teams, competed to develop insurance products, with the top three teams earning cash prizes. Each student team was paired with an alumni mentor.
The Entrepreneurship Pelican Cup hosted its fourth annual awards luncheon on April 10, 2025, at ULM's Bayou Pointe Event Center. The luncheon was the culmination of the entrepreneurship competition, with $96,000 in prize money awarded to the three top teams, including their faculty advisors, and the winner of the live elevator pitch competition, voted on by attendees of the luncheon.
