School of Education Mission Statement and Goals

The College of Arts, Education, and Sciences cultivates and supports a scholarly environment that enhances critical thinking skills, creativity, and the ability of students, faculty, and staff to contribute meaningfully to the greater community regionally, nationally, and globally. 

As the academic heart of the University, the College has the primary mission to ensure student-centered learning through participation in a diverse range of artistic, educational, cultural, and scientific activities.


In support of its mission, the School of Education will:

- Utilize career coaches
- Engage in campus visits



Diversity Funds

Diversity funds were used to send Dr. Yiting Chu, Dr. Nicole Vaux, and Dr. Tarrieck Rideaux to the NCORE Diversity conference in New Orleans in May 2018 to present a poster board session.
