To the Supervisor

This page has been developed to provide training in Counseling Supervision and inform you about expectations and requirements for ULM Supervisory Internship Experiences.

All students enrolled in Practicum or Internship must be supervised by an appropriately credentialed site supervisor. CACREP accreditation requirements state that site supervisors for counseling interns must meet the following qualifications:

Below we provide several resources for site supervisors. First, there are two Power Point trainings for supervisors to view, one is an introduction to supervision and the other incorporates trauma work with supervision. Second, the Site Supervisor Orientation Manual is provided below for all site supervisors to read. Inside the manual are intern evaluation forms supervisors will use. Please print this manual and read it before beginning supervision. At the end of the manual is the Site Supervisor Orientation Acknowledgement form. Please sign this form and send to the Practicum and Internship Assistant. The Site Agreement form is also below. Please complete and sign this form with the intern and send to the Practicum and Internship Assistant along with the Orientation Acknowledgement form.

Thank you for your willingness to participate in this supervisory role with our students. If you have any questions, please contact me at the email address or phone number below.
