Keep ULM Beautiful Logo

About Keep ULM Beautiful - Keep ULM Beautiful, formed in October 2022, is a Keep Louisiana Beautiful University Affiliate, which is a special mark of distinction and represents a commitment by the university to continual improvement in sustainability and environmental issues, promoting student environmental stewardship and engagement, and rigorous outcome measurement. Keep ULM Beautiful will pursue opportunities to improve the campus to meet the needs of the changing living and educational environment of students, faculty, and staff by encouraging litter abatement, recycling, and sustainability practices. Preparations to Volunteer

  • Wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors, the weather, and the area where you will be working, such as closed-toe shoes, boots, hats/caps, sunglasses, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, etc.
    • Sturdy closed toed shoes should be worn in all areas; no matter how warm it may be, please do not wear sandals or flip-flops.
    • Your clothes might get wet and/or dirty. Be prepared by bringing additional clothing or shoes as appropriate.
    • In all cases, neatness, health and safety, appropriateness, and good taste should be observed.
  • Make sure you bring:
    • your own filled, reusable water bottle for hydration and a light snack.
    • an insect repellent and/or sunscreen or other appropriate cosmetics necessary for your safety and health.
  • When attending an organized cleanup event, make sure your belongings and valuables are secure or simply leave them at home.
    • Do not carry any personal effects (rings, jewelry, watches, wallet, bags, keys, pets, etc.) with you during your community service hours to prevent accidental loss or damage.

Monday, April 22, through Thursday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, beginning at the Library Overhang, closest to Scott Plaza (the ULM fountain).
